The Green-Meldrim house
is a great example of Gothic Revial architecture and was home to General Sherman when he occupied Savannah during the Civil War, the house owner, wealthy cotton and ship owner Mr Green greeted the northern General as he arrived offering his home as a place to stay.
You're currently standing in or near Madison Square-- 22 of the original 24 squares in Savannah still stand today and guess what?

This is Savannah College of Art & Design, or SCAD. This college opened in 1978 with 71 students, today they have over 11,000.
This is a Jewish temple: Temple Mickve, built in 1876.
It is the last purely Gothic Revial synagogue in the US.
